St.Joseph's Parish

Andromeda Gardens

Barbados Eastern Attractions starts with the Andromeda Gardens, a horticulturalist or a lover of flowers Paradise. This flowering garden is located on over six acres of land with streams, ponds, and waterfalls flowing throughout.

The Gardens has many beautiful flowers some of international origin. Don’t be surprise if you see one of the Island’s green monkeys while walking through the gardens. I don’t know the names of flowers very well but I can tell you that there are a variety of orchids and ferns.

Flower Forest

Another Barbados Attraction on the Eastcoast is The Flower Forest, a continued work of nature with flowers blooming and trees growing. Each time you visit is seem as though nature has increase its fold as you notice another flower or tree you had not seen before.

The Flower Forest on approximately fifty acres is naturally colorful and makes a stroll in the forest an amazing and pleasant one. Most of the plants found here have labels so this makes it easier to determine what is what.

The time you spend in this forest depends on your taste for nature. Look out for the green monkeys as they also frequent this forest.
