Barbados Attractions
St Andrew's Parish

Cherry Tree Hill

One of Barbados attractions in this parish is Cherry Tree Hill, a scenic spot you will fall in love with on the island. Because of its high peak you can view the East Coast of the island and see some spectacular sights of the Atlantic Ocean.

The older folks say it got its name because of the cherry trees which grew there many years ago. I would recommend that you take a wide lens camera to get some great photos from this height.

East Coast Road

The East Coast Road is known to me for its picnic spots along this long stretch of coast road on the eastern side of Barbados. This spot is very picturesque with the rough waves and tides heading toward the beach from the Atlantic Ocean.

Many national events from the Crop Over Festival during July/August are held on this road. This beach area is NOT for sea bathing and many signs are posted there to warn you not to bath in this area. There are too many strong tides which come together and will drag you back out into the ocean.
