One of Barbados Festivals is Crop Over. Out of The Crop Over festival there are numerous singing competitions. For the very young and teenagers there is the Junior Monarch competition.

For the older folks who prefer to sing about the current issues facing the country, the Caribbean and the world on a whole there is the social commentary arena known as the Pic o’ De Crop competition.

The Party Monarch competition is geared toward those who love fast upbeat party songs. No matter which you attend there are all fun filled events.

The talents of many of the artistes are not only limited to singing but many write or co-write their own music as well as produce or co-produce their music.
