St. Thomas Parish Attractions

Welchman Hall Gully

Welchman Hall Gully is one more of Barbados natural and spectacular places of interest. This Gully with its jungle feel is known for its variety of plant and flower life. There is also an array of local tree life growing in this Gully. Like the breadfruit and bamboo just to name a couple.

In Welchman Hall Gully you can also experience the stunning formation of stalactites and stalagmites which adds more natural beauty to the Gully.

Harrison Cave

Harrison Cave is my favorite place of interest in my homeland, Barbados. I still remember the first time I visited this cave in 1975. It was so beautiful to see the inside of a natural cave with its stalactites and stalagmites still growing. In this cave there are many pools with natural water falls.

Before going into the cave you are asked to watch a short video about the inception of the Cave. Then your opportunity comes to experience and explore the inside of this cave with escorted tour guides. Trams are used to travel inside the Cave and everyone including very young children is required to wear hard hats which are freely given onsite. This is a MUST see while in Barbados.
